An actor named Nick Pasqual, aged 34, who has acted in the film and TV projects “Rebel Moon” and “How I Met Your Mother,” has been charged with multiple serious offences, including attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed these charges.
The actor is facing accusations of stabbing his estranged girlfriend at her home in the Sunland neighbourhood of Los Angeles on May 23.
CNN has contacted a representative for Pasqual to request a comment. The presence of legal representation for him in this matter remains uncertain.
District Attorney George Gascón expressed his condolences and shared his thoughts on the tragic incident in a statement. Our office, along with our Bureau of Victim Services, is committed to providing support and resources to her as she begins the challenging process of healing from the physical and emotional trauma she has endured. This tragic event serves as a powerful reminder of the grave consequences of domestic violence. The person responsible for this serious act will be held accountable for their actions.
As per a news release from Gascón’s office, it was reported that Pasqual unlawfully entered the residence of his former partner, who had recently obtained a restraining order against him.
According to CNN affiliate KABC, the victim in this case is a 35-year-old Hollywood makeup artist. However, the district attorney’s office has chosen not to disclose her identity. To help with her medical expenses, the platform has established and verified an official GoFundMe account.
An official statement on the website described her as an extraordinary individual, known for her compassion, generosity, and affection. “It is truly unfortunate that someone had to go through such a distressing ordeal.”
According to a news release, Pasqual reportedly fled the scene and was later detained at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas. If found guilty, he will be extradited to Los Angeles County, where he could potentially face a life sentence in state prison.
