Climate protestors painted Taylor Swift’s private jet’s airfield orange

Climate activists splashed Taylor Swift’s luxury plane with orange paint at a British airport Thursday, a day after Stonehenge was protested.

Climate protest group Just Stop Oil stated the two activists entered Stansted Airport’s airfield northeast of London.

On suspicion of criminal damage and interference with national infrastructure, Essex Police arrested two women, 22 and 28.

According to Just Stop Oil, Jennifer Kowalski, 28, and Cole Macdonald, 22, sprayed two private jets with orange paint from fire extinguishers.

They wanted Britain’s future government to formally pledge to phasing out fossil fuels by 2030 after the general election.

In an X post, Just Stop Oil claimed, “Jennifer and Cole cut the fence into the private airfield at Stansted where @taylorswift13’s jet is parked, demanding an emergency treaty to end fossil fuels by 2030.”

The subsequent video showed one activist breaking a fence hole and splashing paint over the jets.

Wembley Stadium will host Swift’s Eras Tour concerts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Previously, Taylor Swift faced unwanted attention for her usage of private jets.

British sustainability marketing agency Yard named her one of the “worst private jet CO2 emission offenders” among celebrities in 2022.

Yard said her plane flew 170 times in 2022, emitting 8,293.54 tonnes, 1,184.8 times greater than the average person.

Stansted Airport protests followed a day of protestors spraying an orange material on Stonehenge, a prehistoric UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwest England.

Just Stop Oil claimed two activists “decorated Stonehenge in orange powder paint” in a stunt denounced by politicians and heritage groups.

Two suspects were arrested for destroying the ancient monument.
