Caitlin Clark inked a multiyear agreement with Wilson

As reported by NBC news – Wilson, the largest manufacturer of sporting goods, and Caitlin Clark have inked a multiyear sponsorship agreement that will see the introduction of a signature brand of basketballs.

Wilson Sporting Goods Co.

The agreement is similar to one that Michael Jordan and Wilson inked just after Jordan’s 1984 NBA debut.

In addition to other Wilson-branded goods and efforts, Clark’s arrangement, the financial details of which were not immediately made public, calls for the introduction of three distinct basketball designs.

In a statement, Clark said, “I couldn’t be more excited to continue driving basketball forward alongside Wilson, who has been there for me through some of the most important moments in my career to date.” “To own my own basketball collection and have an impact on what that means for upcoming generations of athletes feels like a dream come true.”

The collection’s initial drop, which includes Wilson’s white-and-gold WNBA basketball with individualised laser engravings “celebrating iconic Clark moments,” will go live on Tuesday, according to the brand.

Amanda Lamb, head of global brand at Wilson, said in a statement, “Wilson is made to commemorate the most significant moments in sport, and we have always linked ourselves with pioneers who break conventions and write their own narrative.” “Caitlin Clark has had a significant influence on the game and is not merely a record-breaking athlete but also a cultural icon. We are incredibly excited to collaborate with her to keep advancing basketball both on and off the court.

With her Indiana Fever team still without a victory as of Monday, Clark’s WNBA tenure has started on an unsettling note. But when it comes to average points, assists, and blocks per game, Clark is among the top 5 in the league.

Clark was given her first technical foul on Monday after swearing at the referee when he declined to flag a foul.
